I LOVE the start of a New Year. To me, it’s this renewed sense of opportunity; offering you endless goals to achieve throughout the year. Will I achieve all these goals… heck no! But I will certainly try. This year in particular, I am focusing on three things personally: mind, body and soul. And three things business-wise: details matter, does It move the needle, and perfecting my no vs yes

I choose the words mind, body and soul to create overall balance in 2021. Let’s face it (for me) 2020 was a wash in terms of eating healthy and working out. So I wanted to take control of this in the new year. For my body…. I am eating “whole food” nutrition right now. I just got an instant pot which I am SUPER excited about. If anyone has any fun recipes, comment down below! I am also back on the @sweat program and going to up my reading / podcast listening to feed my soul and educate my mind. My first book will be The Guest List by Lucy Foley and The Goal Digger Podcast is one of my favorite business podcast.

As for the business side of things, 2020 was a huge growth year for me. I was able to grow my team, connect with new designers all over the country and increase the number of pieces I offered/sold online. 2021 is going to be a little more intentional. My hope is that your experience working with me (whether that is online, a commission or through a designer) is top-notch… down to every last detail. “Does It move the needle?” is actually a phrase I picked up from Gwyneth Paltrow. I want to make sure that the decisions I make, the pieces I paint and the projects I say yes to “move the needle” for my business. Which leads me to the last part… no vs yes. I am a people pleaser, so I say yes a lot. This year, I want to make sure I say “yes” to the projects I know will be a good fit and “no” when It just doesn’t make sense at that moment….

So there you have It. My goals and intentions for 2021. What are yours?
